Dirca Palustris

Dirca palustris
Remedy code: 3-655.16.04.
A man in his forties has a lot of colds and has had little energy since last year after a viral pneumonia that developed while his wife was pregnant. All year long he has had less energy. With this fatigue, his right leg can twitch and he is less stable when putting it down. Lots of snot in the morning, and lots of blowing, he is full for two to three hours afterward and has a dry throat. A second complaint is the abdomen. “When I am not feeling well I notice it in the abdomen: It is cramping with sudden stabbing, in the hypochondrium. Omitting raw meats gives fewer symptoms, it can hurt and lasts about 5 minutes. About the abdominal symptoms, he tells the following from himself: “The pain comes when I have to do something, something I have never done before. Inside I then sit with the question 'How are we going to do this,' a situation of having to solve something, I mean negative things. That could be with a difficult customer, or if I'm worried about not being able to make someone happy. I like to please. Service is the starting point in my work, that's in my character, I don't want to upset anyone.” After a brief pause, he continued, “Maybe I don't always express myself, it hits back”. People have to be satisfied, and have a good feeling about the sale. He is a real estate agent, after commercial training he wanted to seek it in service, helping people and making them happy. He doesn't work for himself but addresses the staff, he doesn't want a hierarchy. Playing sports helps to get rid of adrenaline. The work is enjoyable and he is also satisfied with his private life, although the tension can build up at times. He sleeps well and sometimes has dreams of falling out of bed. Childhood was a nice time with many friends, father had a store and was always working, and mother was always at home. He looks like a quiet, friendly man, stable, gentle, with strikingly shining eyes, and an open look but reserved in his appearance, cautious but not vulnerable. He sits at ease, it is as if he is shutting himself off from his surroundings further than half a meter away from him, sitting on a safe little island. Remarkable is the way the story rolls out almost naturally for someone who has no experience with homeopathy, without me having to ask questions. The themes of the Malvales are mentioned as if on a silver platter, with reserve but attesting to a good understanding of oneself. The exhaustion suits Dirca palustris. A sensitive man who can come out in front of his vulnerability and feelings. He comes across as balanced and reliable, clearly considering everything he says and how he says it, and exudes a cautious but stable attitude. Emotions he often does not express, lurch inward. There is difficulty with new situations, also because he wants to keep people friendly, the new family situation was possibly the cause of the pneumonia.

Analysis
Silver series: many Malvales characteristics, which can be extrapolated to the Malvidae, feeling around him, listening to himself when talking, mucous membranes (reflected in all complaints), and, lungs.
Phase 1: idealism (in his work), the new home situation as an eliciting factor.
Phase 6: fatigue, giving a lot, father always at work (compare here the combination of Phases 1 and 6 as we see with the Rosoideae).
Malvales: emotions slam inward, not expressing themselves, soft to not vulnerable. Sensing what you want to know.
Stage 4: on an island (compare Cerium), doubt.
Prescription: Dirca palustris MK.

Follow up
After a week there is already more energy, he is less lethargic and more active, now comes on a bike instead of a car. He has started blowing more, this cold started with vague throat symptoms. For a few days, he has had a rash on his palms and near the “flippers,” something on the back, itchy and red. The same rash as he has had in allergic reactions to antibiotics before. He still had the tightness on the abdomen once in the first three weeks. After that, never again. The tongue is now discolored with a red side on the right and with white batter. (Daphne indica and Mezereum of the Thymelaceae are listed here; discoloration, white, one side.) After two months, his wife calls for him because all symptoms are over. This case and analysis are from before the presentation of Wonderful Plants and Qjure, based on the knowledge of Plant Families. Dirca palustrus was listed then under the Malvaceae. We see afterward that Sweries and Phase can be recognized.
