Shrub, subshrub; succulent; evergreen; 120 to 150 cm tall.
Stem: thick, pale grey-brown branches, each crowned by a saucer-shaped rosette, 20 cm across
Leaves: sticky; fleshy; apoon-shaped; balsam-scented; pale green; with pointed tips; in rosettes, up to 20 cm diameter.
Inflorescence: racemes or panicles; 5 to 25 cm long.
Flowers: light, pale yellow; small; star-shaped; with numerous narrow petals; blooming late spring.
