16.4 Ytterbium nitricum case

A young man of 20 has had myopia in both eyes, from birth on. It has been –18, but with various anthroposophical exercises it has reduced to –11. It was discovered because he was reading by holding a book against his nose. He is also color-blind: he doesn't see the difference between red, pink, brown and green. He can hear very well and is very musical. He plays the piano and violin and gives concerts.
He has pain in his left knee when running and pain in his right hip. He can wake at 8 am with backache.
He has influenza every two years. Then he has a high fever for 2 days and delusions of very rough water near the woods or his sister lying dead under the staircase.
He just has finished high school and is starting to study economics. He didn't study much at school and had to retake his economics exams. He is quite gifted and can do everything well and easily like sports, music and having fun. He is bored easily, looking for excitement like following the police to accidents. He can exaggerate enormously, saying that there was blood all over the place when someone only had a dislocation of the shoulder. He wants to be the best and the first, he wants to be seen as the bright guy. But he wants it without making any real effort. He writes his papers by searching out examples and pieces on the internet, changing them a bit and still he gets good grades.
He is independent and wants to decide for himself: “I’m an adult”. He wants to be his own boss.
One brother also has myopia, all but one of his brothers have color blindness. In other members of the family there’s psoriasis, heart disease and tuberculosis.
Dreams: running and then flying.
Dream: persecuted but staying at the same place.
Dream: falling when lying in bed.

Sweat: hands and feet on exertion.

Desire: cheese (3), pizza (2), farinaceous, vegetables.
Aversion: Brussels sprouts.
Analysis
The myopia and color blindness indicate the Gold series, the color blindness more specially the Lanthanides. This is confirmed by his desire to decide for himself, to be his own boss and his multiple talents.
He has a lazy attitude, which indicates Stage 16. He doesn't have to do much for his results. Ytterbium is Stage 16 of the Lanthanides.
There are other aspects that aren't covered by the Ytterbium. One is the desire to have fun, easily being bored and looking for excitement. This fits with Nitricum. He also wants to be the best, the first, another Nitricum aspect. The Nitricum is confirmed by his strong desire for cheese, the morning aggravation and the sweating of hands and feet. Exaggerating is an aspect of Stage 12, also a Nitricum quality.
Follow up
A month after Ytterbium nitricum MK he feels better and is in a better mood. His hip pain and backache are much reduced. He feels less triumphant.
Two years later he feels good. The remedy had especially effect on his general well being, not so much on his eyes. His quality of life has risen from 70 to 80.
