Sarcandra glabra

Sarcandra glabra
Remedy code: 3-622.2 1.00

A 14-year-old boy, he is small in stature, Asian, and was adopted as a toddler. He grew up in an orphanage; there is no information about his biological parents, so he was most likely a foundling. Until the age of 8-9, his testicles had not descended. He speaks unclearly and must be gently encouraged to do so to prevent him from 'shutting down'. He sits uncomfortably, staring and trying to hide in his own body. He appears to be far behind in his development. The complaint is shortness of breath when exercising, which appears to be an allergy: he has redness around his eyes, sometimes itching in his throat, a lot of mucus from his nose, his voice becomes hoarse, and he wakes up at night due to shortness of breath. Otherwise, he is healthy, hypermobile, often has an injury to his right shoulder, and often sprains his ankles and knees. He started puberty early, now has a deep voice, and has pimples. He also has an allergy to pets, which started 5 years ago; desensitization did not help. He does not talk to people he does not know; he 'freezes' around strangers. He has trouble spelling and has difficulty recognizing letters, except on the keyboard. He may have brain damage. An ECG shows disturbances in the ear and language areas. He does not hear sounds well. He has severe performance anxiety and cannot read, which makes him cry. He talks well with friends, is socially adept, and has good resistance. He often has bad breath, a lot of tartar, and bleeding gums. His tongue is clean, moist, and slightly sunken at the edges. He is very sweet; they never have to be angry with him. Friends and brothers: he feels that they don't listen to him enough; he used to sit in a corner a lot. Sports: first watch, wait and see, and only then dare to try. He always finishes everything on his plate; he used to think he had to and ate until he had to throw up. He takes care of a lot of things himself, tidying up, brushing his teeth, and doing chores around the house. At school, he does nothing on his own initiative. During the coronavirus pandemic, he was afraid of everything he heard about it. Carduus benedictus does nothing.

Analysis
Phase 2 and Subphase 1 as the most important characteristics, the wait-and-see attitude, the closing off of Phase 2 and the adoption: ‘never been part of’ of Phase 1. From this clear starting point, further research was conducted.
Carbon series: Past, ancestors, where you come from is a theme, a theme in which the Phase and Subphase play a role. He is not at home in the world; the world is threatening. He is not (consciously) present, is poorly aware of his surroundings, lives as it were 'in his body', which is very characteristic of a Carbon series indication; the person's consciousness is inside his body and his focus is also inward. Origin is unclear, gender was unclear.
This combination brings us to the Chloranthaceae. Only one medicine from this family is known or available. The Stage is not yet clear, but in this case, a Stage of five or lower seems to apply.
Qjure: not having had a mother, need support/feel inadequate to life themselves.
Prescription: Sarcandra glabra C30

Follow up
Over the next three months, things improved; he only experienced shortness of breath once. The allergy to pets is still present. After taking the remedy, he had crying spells and was more emotional when teased. He does not like crowds or busy places. The following year, he was not ill.
