Remedy code: 3-632.11.03
Case: A 3 1ā2-year-old girl with a rash on her hands, wrists, forearms, and small spots on her legs. Once she starts scratching, she canāt stop. It happens all day, with no discernible pattern. In the evening and at night she scratches a lot and often wakes up at 4 a.m. The rash started five months ago on her wrists and left index finger. Her skin is rough and dry. After scratching it open, it heals quickly. Apart from this, she is healthy. She has a good appetite and loves fatty foods, spare ribs, and fries but dislikes rice. Her mother is Asian, and she is the second child. She has lots of energy, stays up late into the evening, is never tired, and falls asleep only late. In bed, she sings, talks, and calls for her mom. Even while sleeping, she continues to scratch. She wakes up 3-4 times a week from the itching, which lasts about 15 minutes, but a gentle touch is enough to calm her. Pregnancy and Birth: During pregnancy, her mother vomited frequently, even bringing up blood. She ate everything and gained a lot of weight. The delivery was quick, and the baby had a good start without any problems. She started going to daycare three months ago, which has been going well. She expresses herself well, is very talkative, and says everything on her mind. She is always cheerful, plays with everyone, and is described as "a very easy child." Occasionally, she experiences neck pain with movement or after lying in an awkward position. Sometimes she gets eye infections or infections of the hair follicles. She is cheerful, easygoing, sweet, knowing what she wants, and her name (which is that of a gemstone) is very important to her. At night, when she's tired, she talks about everything that happened during the day, what went wrong, or what another child did. The whole family came to the appointment with their two children. The mother is precise, attentive, and keeps the conversation on track, often correcting small details. The father calls himself āchaotic.ā He has cheerful eyes and is quite outspoken, though he is frequently corrected or kept in check by the mother, which he doesn't seem to mind. Both parents are highly attentive to the children, who play and take over the house. The family engages in playful banter with each other. The child often watches with wide eyes, absorbing the atmosphere, sometimes showing a hint of wistfulness before effortlessly returning to her adventurous play. Later, the smudges on the wall showed how she secretly climbed the stairs and became absorbed in another world.
Analysis
Itching and rashes suggest Caladium. The motherās behavior (hesitant, careful, and rescheduling the appointment three times) points to Stadium 3. The girl is their second child, so comparisons with the mother are relevant. The family is characterized by openness, spontaneity, and a touch of chaos, fitting Phase 1. What else indicates Araceae?
Silicon series2: Noteworthy is that there seem to be no major problems; the child is healthy, and the family is in harmony. The parents are two opposites, visibly and tangibly working to maintain balance, trying to stay true to themselves while keeping the family functioning. These are characteristics of the Carbon Series and Silica Series, two key traits also seen in the child: imagination and a childās world (Carbon Series) and experiencing the family as a unit (Silica Series). If no other significant aspects stand out, it can be very useful to consider the family or a parent to differentiate the stadium and phase. This is the living world of a child. Phase 1: Spontaneous, unity.
Prescription: Caladium dieffenbachia C30.
Follow-up
After taking the remedy, the itching stopped, and the rash gradually disappeared within a week. She sleeps better and sleeps through the night right from the first dose. A month later, her neck stiffened again, solved a few days later. The rash has not returned.
