Sanguisorba officinalis

Sanguisorba officinalis

A 58-year-old man suffers from restlessness in the heart region and takes regular medication: a beta blocker, Lasix. He had this complaint before, but it disappeared after taking Iberis amara, which also relieved his headaches and shoulder pain. He still feels calmer, and the constant tension in his shoulders has disappeared. He feels fine otherwise, and the tension in his life has not changed. However, the discomfort in his heart area has returned, prompting him to look for a new medication. Iberis suited his experience well to the situation of the last few years. The restlessness is constantly present. Cycling and walking go well; the more effort, the better. The fresh air improves things; he suffers more in the city, which makes him think it is tension. He has some circulation problems; his hands and feet are cold, as are his left thigh and upper arm. Sometimes he feels a kind of feverish shivering along his spine. A feeling of cold, ‘it fluctuates’. The complaint returned after a trial treatment of shiatsu. He says he is always ‘shopping’ for his health: it is more of an interest, healthy food, exercise, self-discovery; he is a nature lover. Before Iberis, he said that he always consciously felt his heart, but now that is less so; his chest feels more open. Now he feels restless, lacking charisma, and has an uncomfortable feeling. He does not list the complaints; it is an almost poetic description, a reflection on himself. He speaks calmly, regularly digressing to talk about the beauty of nature or literature, and is very interested in my opinion. He openly compares books and opinions regarding his health. He needs rest. Loud noises bother him. He puzzles over the reason for his complaint, but cannot figure it out. Talking about it upsets him; it makes him negatively focus on himself. He thinks it has come back because he is taking on too much. He cycles an hour to his girlfriend, with whom he has a long-distance relationship. He can handle that well. Then he comes home and feels the symptoms. He thinks it has to do with psychological issues; it's a hassle every week, packing bags, which causes anxiety. The relationship is good, but sometimes it causes problems. Afterwards, he feels tension. A dream: about a submarine, for one person. He hates the city, the stench, the cars, and the bio-industry. He is someone who thinks from his heart; it hurts him, heartache. Childhood: his parents divorced when he was three, and his mother left his father with him. It was a tug-of-war over the children. He had a lot to deal with in the past. He sleepwalked as a child from an early age. He had many fears: even of a plant, he was afraid of the Christmas tree. He felt like an outsider. For the last 10 years, the fears have been physical, the fear of not coming across well, and that they can see the tension. He suffers a lot from his unemployment, even though he has a lot to offer; he has courage. He used to be a musician and was always afraid of not coming across well. Auditions were very stressful. It is striking again now, and you have no control over it. Attention to him makes it worse.

Analysis
Rosaceae: His life and experience are colored by the divorce and arguments between his parents.
He is also divorced, can no longer do his job, which was his passion, and feels sidelined. Complaints about the heart. Restlessness. Involvement. Heart area, blood circulation.
Stage 6: He is insecure, has difficulty paying attention, with judgment, and with proving himself.
We see this reflected in the relationship: doubts are gone, but the relationship bar is set cautiously, as if trying it out, showing himself and each other that things are going well. Action: trying, knowing that it is difficult and uncomfortable, but trying anyway, with the new relationship. The restlessness strikes, you have no control over it, but he continues. Even more so, his attitude toward something he is passionate about, music, shows a lot of talent. Looking forward to things, finding things difficult, but tackling them anyway.
The medicine was chosen based on the theme and stage of the Plant Families. Now we recognize more of Qjure:
Phase 6: unemployment, being an outsider (as child), sidelined (without his work), and loosing his father .
Phase 1: fears, passion.
Prescription: Sanguisorba officinalis MK

Follow up
After this, things improved for weeks, and the complaint disappeared immediately. After irritation, getting worked up, and anger, he felt his heart again one evening. That evening, he slept poorly, and thinking about it exacerbated his heart complaints. The feeling of alternating heat and cold is still there in the evening, for example, when people come over. Digestion: he burps a lot. He has good energy. He is still using the beta blocker. Over the next ten years, he is doing well, he is calm, and has no complaints.
