Case: A woman with a periostitis (Ruta)

The intake took place in November 1990. It concerns a 23 year old woman with foot complaints.
Astrid is a goalkeeper in women's hockey. Three months ago she got a ball on her left foot, on the instep. Since then she has continued to suffer from pain:
- hard painful stripe on the instep
- Pain is exacerbated by closed shoes, hard pressure, long standing and long walking
- warm and swollen
- pain better through ice
- first week of pain also at night between 3 and 5 o'clock
- irritable by the pain, this exacerbates the pain
Astrid does temporary work, in the evenings a written course in journalism. One year in pharmacy and one year in physical therapy.
Medical history
As a child, I went through mumps.
Once every two years herpes labialis.
Lft. 14-21 years: acne forehead and chin.
Lft. 13-18 years: one cystitis a year.
Lft. 20 years: got stone on Achilles tendon, remained fat all the time, worse exercise and climbing stairs. Not very painful.
Generals
Very chilly (3). Cold hands and feet.
No excessive sweating or night sweats.
Food and drinks
Love meat (3), fish (3), fried bacon (3), savoury (2), cheese (2).
Aversion beer (2), whipped cream (2).
Smokes 15 cigarettes a day.
Thirst: normal; coffee, tea, milk.
Dreams
Sometimes scary dreams about ghosts or ghosts.
Can't stand scary movies.
Biography and person
Youngest of three children, brother and sister. Always cosy at home, games. Raised in a sheltered manner.
Three years ago just in rooms, lonely feeling. Every evening to the pub with others, drinking too much.
As a child fear of dogs, loud noises and dark. Fearful and shy. When she had a fever she didn't dare to close her eyes, afraid to die (3). "I don't wake up anymore".
Very busy with afterlife, reincarnation and parapsychology.
Child suffering on television - Third World: can get angry about it or cry about it.
Analysis
A striking symptom was the fear of dying during the fever. Reperorium: MIND, FEAR of death during heat: Ruta trivalent. The complaint is a periostitis.
Prescription: Ruta graveolens 200k. Within 2 weeks the complaints had disappeared and she was back in the goal at hockey.
Consideration: given the fear of death as a child, this is a constitutional Ruta case. It is striking that at a later age she becomes a hockey bitch, as it were she seeks out the blows and the injuries.
