Raphanus raphanistrum

Case Raphanus sativus

A 4 year old girl with a face that really stands out: a round head with a broad forehead and a tapered chin, comes in connection with sleeping problems. She wakes up 6 to 7 times at night, doesn't come out. She calls mother and is panicking. She sometimes lies in bed with her mother, but then she kicks a lot. Mother stays there until she sleeps again.
The parents are divorced. When she has been with her father she is very snappy and catty. Father is drinking. In the period before the divorce, when the patient was 2 years old, she sometimes helped crying when the parents had a fight, shouting: "Daddy doesn't want to do that!!", because he was screaming like that.

She is afraid to be abandoned. She was very hesitant about strangers. In the practice room where there are lots of toys, she doesn't dare to start playing. In the playroom she has come loose after a while and she does play. When she feels at ease, she is very open.

During pregnancy the mother was afraid of her husband: he was down and suspicious and by drinking aggressive and openly jealous, threw things, threatened and shouted. She always had to be alert and to make sure that nothing would happen she had to give in to calm him down. As a baby, the patient was already sleeping badly.

She is very scared in the dark, is not afraid of water, not even of animals. She used to grind her teeth.

Because of the sleeping problems and the fear of abandonment I first gave Stramonium MK. Sleeping is better, but more and more clearly she shows aggression after a visit to father. She doesn't want to go there either. Says he beats her. She also shows aggression to a friend.
I give her Oxygenium MK based on the idea that she feels like a victim of her father.
Father's behaviour leads to a report to the confidant doctor's office, after which action is taken with regard to the visitation arrangements.

The Oxygenium gives an enormous improvement in her behaviour, but now she sleeps badly again.

Then follows a short period of peeing and pooping in her pants. She also asks a lot of attention from her mother's friend, who quotes her and then rejects her again. She loves to cuddle and when she can't sleep mother has to stroke her belly. I give this to Hyoscyamus, on whom she makes a provision: she suddenly appears jealous.

In addition to the story of the pregnancy: Father did not want a child. He thought his wife was ugly and fat with her pregnant belly and expressed that too. Mother didn't like herself either, so she wasn't happy with the pregnancy. Patient hates men.
On this I give Raphanus Sativus 200K, after which she is doing much better. She suffers from a swollen stomach with intestinal gasses, which improves after a dissolved dose. After the treatment she sleeps quietly and relaxed. She grows, eats better, talks better and thrives really well.

Mother occasionally repeats the Raphanus 200K. At a dose of Barium Muriaticum she shows an exacerbation, which improves again after the Raphanus.
After a year she has a serious relapse: she has seen her father at school. She immediately reacted aggressively, kicked the car, etc. After that she is anxious and doesn't trust the case. She has a swelling above her eyes on both sides: she had the same reaction to the Barium Muriaticum.
Jester Raphanus Sativus MK is doing well again. This is the potential she still uses now and then. The tug of war for the visitation scheme is still not closed.
