A man of 38 years of age has headaches. He has suffered from them every day, for 20 years. He has three types of headaches:
1. Long-lasting, boring pain at the back of the head that starts when the weather changes.
2. Pain in temples, after stress, lasting 2-3 days.
3. Pain like a needle, in the middle of the head, lasting for 10 days, for no known reason.
He used to cure himself by lying down and listening to music.
He has all kinds of allergies: sun, drugs, food, dust and plants. He reacts with urticaria in his hip zone, arms and hands. It started when he was 21 and had finished obligatory military service.
He had an itching rash daily. Doctors treated him with antihistamines, but he collapsed and was in a coma for a few hours. After that event he avoided the allergens, which helped but was very difficult.
He is clairvoyant. The information just comes to him, and he knows, but he is afraid of that. He’s very creative and says “I imagine I’m an artist”.
He's always analyzing himself. Every day he talks to himself trying to find the meaning of things, himself and his life.
He always has a lot of ideas, but he usually runs away from developing them, or doesn't know how to realize them. He had the chance to live and work in Italy, which was his dream, but he came back, because he had no idea how to organize his life there. He has his own company and is successful. But he doesn't like to talk about it. Now he is trying to start a new job, but he doesn't know how to do this. He works hard. He likes to work, especially at home.
He’s single and doesn't want to get married. He likes to be autonomous.
He collects everything: rocks, crystals, antiques, and books.
He used to be depressive and sad. He weeps easily.
He likes the sun. When it’s sunny, everything is OK. He just covers his skin because of the allergies.
He is crazy about sweets.
He is overweight.

Analysis
He is completely autonomous, which indicates the Lanthanides. His headaches fit in with that and also his allergies as a form of immune disturbance. We see other aspects of Lanthanides strongly in him: he’s clairvoyant, sensitive, creative and he analyses himself every day.
He always has a lot of ideas, but he usually runs away from developing them, or doesn't know how to realize them. This is typical of Stage 5. In the Lanthanides that’s Praseodymium. Stage 5 is also indicated by how he avoids his clairvoyance. It's typical and similar to how he handles his allergies: by avoiding them.
His analyzing himself every day has much to do with finding the meaning of things, himself and his life. These are Carbon themes. Together this leads to Praseodymium carbonicum.

At one Spring Seminar in Utrecht I recognized him during the lectures and gave him Praseodymium carbonicum immediately.

Follow up
After Praseodymium carbonicum all the headaches disappeared. He lost 10 kilos within about two months. The urticaria came back for a few days and then disappeared. He decided to study homeopathy.
After 5 months he’s still doing very well, without any complaints.
Six months later he succeeded in selling his flat after many years, and he will live with his parents for a while. He needs time to find a nice flat.
He has some possibilities for a new job, but he is thinking about the sense of that and the risks.
His fear of dogs disappeared completely (never mentioned afterwards), which for him is the biggest sign of cure.
His skin is perfect.
He has a slight headache at the back of the head, 2-3 times per month. He doesn't need any remedy, because it’s short lasting and only minor.
8 months later he told me that he is a new man now. His life has changed completely, mentally, emotionally and physically. He is cheerful, happy and everything is easy for him. He said that his life has changed 97%. The 3% is that he can't believe this is true, because doctors had told him his headache was incurable. He has indeed started a new life.

The first prescription was Sol 200, based especially on the aggravation from sunshine. After the remedy he went through 2 days of depression and discovered the reasons for it. Then 75% of the symptoms disappeared.

Then Calcium carbonicum 200C was prescribed. The headaches became milder and even less frequent. He has more energy.
