Taxonomy
Pelargonium antidysentericum is a member of the Subgenus Pelargonium jenkinsonia (Sweet) DC. ampl. J. J. A. van der Walt.
Botany
Annual herbs or perrenial sub-shrubs with woody or herbaceous stems, rarely tuberous. Leaves palmately divided or trifoliolate, flowers with 4-5 petals, with posterior two much bigger or the same size as the anterior, or with the anterior petals absent. Fertile stamens 2, 3, 5 or 7. Hypanthium shorter or longer than pedicel. Basic chromosome number, x = 9.
