666.77.08 Oenanthe aquatica, Case
Man, 50, frequent coryza.
His smell is gone most of the time. He has a runny nose which can be either worse or better outside. Swallowing is difficult because his nose is obstructed most of the time. He also can have asthma with it. The complaints are worse from exercise like bicycling, worse in autumn and worse from stress at his work. It makes him feel tired out.
He has backaches from stress, as though it is locked. The pains are worse from stooping and from rising out of bed and sometimes extend to his left leg. It is worse from playing tennis and better with manual therapy. It sometimes makes him feel like an old man.
He also has stomach pains worse from being annoyed and from resistance at his work. His stomach feels tense and he has belching which is worse from sleeping with an open mouth.
He has eczema with scales from time to time on his fingers. It is worse from dust and soil.
He is working in information technology. He is the architect of new projects but it is often difficult to let the others do as is needed. It feels like a heavy task, it’s as if he has to overcome a lot of resistance. He does not mind explaining things two or three times but when he has to explain it ten times it feels too heavy, as if he has to convince them. In the beginning he has the tendency to explain things with nuances but when the others do not see what he wants to say he says it in “black and white” and then they startle. But at least they have understood it. Especially at times when there are deadlines it feels very stressed for him.
He is solitary and has a strong will. He tries to compensate the pressure at work with ecological gardening at home.
He has three children from his first marriage. In the course of 10 years his first wife and he grew apart. She became more and more angry towards him and it turned out that she had a boyfriend already for years. He felt very hurt and left abruptly. He is glad he did it. Now he has a much better relationship.
His father was very rational, enforced respect. He was also caring. He played the violin. The family members are all people with a strong will, persevering, taking the lead. His mother was more critical, easily irritated. When his father died he was very upset, much more than with the death of his mother.
In primary school he was doing very well, so well that in the last class he did not have to learn anything anymore. But when he went to high school he was behind and was a bit young, so instead of being the best of the class he was one of the last. He had to work very hard for a few years to catch up, it was a fight to reach that level.
Dream: he has to catch a train or airplane but all kinds of things come between, he does not know all where the train is, has to search endlessly; there are many obstacles, he is diverted, does not have a ticket yet.
Dream: walking along abysses, in the mountains, having to do weird things to climb on something.
Weather: < rain, > clear weather, <- wet warm weather.
Time: < autumn, October and November.
Desire: Roquefort cheese, chocolate, fresh, wine.
Aversion: buttermilk, banana, porridge.
Food: < apples, hazelnut, walnuts.
Analysis
He is quite mentally oriented, as can be seen from his desire to learn and his work in information technology. His father also was very rational. This points to the Apiaceae.
The stage is eight, his work feels heavy, he has to overcome resistance, is stressed from deadlines and has to convince people. We can also see Stage 8 in his dreams. He cannot reach his train or airplane, which means he hasn’t reached his goal so it is before Stage 10. The obstacles in his dream are typical for Stage 8. He dreams he has to climb up a mountain, which means he is before Stage 10.
Together that leads to Phellandrium, Oenanthe aquatica.
We also see the remedy also in his youth: working very hard like in Stage 8 for a few years to catch up at school, the mental work of the Apiaceae; it was a fight to reach that level.
Follow up
After Oenanthe aquatica, Phellandrium MK the coryza diminishes gradually and his smell returns.
He also feels better at his work, he feels less resistance. He got a new task, a job which was in total chaos. He enjoys to bring order there, he has the feeling that he is on the right track.
In general he feels more relaxed. In the past he played his violin with his will, now he plays more by listening to the sounds. It feels that he can trust himself more, that he can do things by heart.
After a few more repetitions of the remedy he is doing very well. After half a year he comes back because his coryza and backache come back a bit. In general he feels more relaxed at work. He gets a few repetitions of the remedy, once a month.
