17.2 Lutetium metallicum case

A man of 80 has had a stroke. His right visual field is gone and he sees things spotted, as through broken glass. In the beginning he couldn't walk and now he walks shakily as if having to sense the floor with his feet. His right side feels numb and stiff; his right leg feels stiff and swollen. His memory is completely gone from time to time; this comes and goes suddenly. He forgets what to buy in shops, he doesn't know how to make breakfast. His concentration is affected so he understands what he reads only very slowly. He had already had some transient ischemic attacks, with double vision for 10 minutes and weakness of the eye muscles. Before the attacks he had violent dreams of ghosts that were coming in and dreams of falling into a hole. The dreams made him restless.
His mood is very good and he looks on his problems with a kind of humor and interest. That’s an attitude he has always had. He was always very lucky in his career. He was a manager and sales director in different companies. He was never worried about his career or position. A few times he said to his boss, it made sense to fire him because he was becoming too expensive for the company. The directors mostly refused his offer because he was so good. He often quit himself because he got bored with the job. After retirement, he started his own advisory agency because he liked to work part-time.
He was always active and lively. He‘s always been optimistic, looking positively to the future. He’s very friendly, but not very interested in others. He’s domineering and open. He has a strong spirit of freedom and liberty.
Dreams: exciting adventurous dreams of persecutions and fights.
Dreams: making a false step and then falling.
Urination at night. Libido diminished.
Fingers white, cold and numb.
Past history: epistaxis, ecchymoses and naevi.
Weather: chilly, < cold.
Perspiration: easily, < heat, < exertion.
Time: < 7 till 9 am.
Desires: sweets, spicy, onion, garlic, chives, lovage, milk, fat, alcohol.
Aversion: bland food (2), sour, skin on porridge (3).
Food: < onion, alcohol makes him feel relaxed.
Analysis
His independence and spirit of freedom point to Lanthanides in general. Typical and fitting the Lanthanides is also his refusal to take a real leader's position.
His playful quality is a characteristic of Lutetium.
The apoplexy is a theme for the Gold series: the head, the leader is losing his control. The visual disturbances confirm the Gold series.
Follow up
After Lutetium metallicum MK he generally feels better and his complaints diminish. After 2 years he summarizes what is cured:
- His memory has come back, although the short-term memory is still a bit problematic.
- The visual spots are gone.
- His visual field has half returned.
- The dreams of persecution are gone.
- The dryness of nose and mouth are gone
- The obstruction of the nose is gone.
- He has no money worries anymore.
- It has given inner richness and wealth.
After a previous Zingiber MK his dreams of ghosts disappeared and he had some dreams of dolphins that brought him a feeling of peace. After Agaricus MK he felt slightly better but the vision didn't improve. After Xenon MK he felt better but there was no change in his memory, the double vision remained and the field of vision didn't improve.
