665.23.06 Eustoma grandiflorum, Case
Woman, 50, lupus erythematodes.
She has red spots on her skin, her sternum and back that are itching, worse from sun and alcohol. It had been diagnosed in the past as actinic keratosis. It started in a period of significant stress from learning homeopathy, much self-criticism and doubting her skills and clinic. It feels like a loss of femininity and attractiveness.
She also has arthritis in her right arm, shoulder, elbow and wrist. It feels as if a screw has been screwed in it the wrong way, like a blockage, as if it is not her arm. Her joints are compact, painful in wet and cold weather, worse from exertion and lifting things, better with gentle motion. She has a stiff neck, worse from cold, better from warmth, worse from menopause. She feels imprisoned, as if in a dark, cold prison as punishment.
The problems started after her mother had dementia. She considered bringing her mother with her home, but then she would have to give up her homeopathic clinic. She wants to have her own clinic, wants to do her own thing and does not want to be subordinate.
As a child she was wild and had a strong temperament. Her parents locked her in a dark cellar often where she was frightened and once even fainted.
She has worked in a pharmacy and gradually has turned to homeopathy and became a homeopath. Her husband took a long time before he could appreciate her work. She always has the feeling of not knowing enough. She has learned a lot, but it was never enough, she never became certain.
She wants to do her own thing. She hates it when others have power over her. That has brought her into conflict with her mother-in-law. She and her husband lived with his parents and her mother-in-law expected a servant. The worst part was that her husband never took her side until she threatened to leave.
Dream: walls are approaching her; animals are approaching her; disgusting animals come out of her face, eruptions of her skin; being in a big house with too many patients and consulting rooms.
Fear: dangerous animals, snakes, rats, mice, beetles, insects, worms; things she cannot control.
Food: < alcohol; < fat, butter.
Plants: likes them very much, especially Lisianthus; her husband tells her that is how she is, soft and creased.
Analysis
