Epilobium hirsutum

654.12.08 Epilobium hirsutum, Case
Woman, 50, dyspnoea.
She can hardly breathe, especially deep breathing, in attacks about twice a day with a pain to the left of her sternum. It is worse from stretching and when she feels hurried, when someone is right behind her in the traffic. It is better bending forward and standing still for a while.
In general she has the feeling she has to do too much, has too little time. She is working in her job and at home and running the household. Her husband does nothing at home. She has worries about her daughter, her school and that she will become dependent on her boyfriend. She wants to be independent, does not want to be the attachment of someone else. Her parents always told her that she had to be able to take care of herself. Her mother was not permitted to become a member of the tennis club because her father was just a construction worker.
She sleeps badly.
She feels powerless.
She has a heavy headache below her vertex, better closing her eyes. It gives her the feeling of being distant, not alert, not having her thoughts ordered.
She likes a movie about a woman who thinks she is everything, has risen high socially but is just married to a civil servant.

Analysis
Silver series: social classes; high socially, married a civil servant.
Myrtales: cultural inequalities, between sexes, between classes.
Onagraceae: independent as a woman; asthma.
Stage 8: do too much; hurry.

Follow up
A month after Epilobium hirsutum 200K she feels much better. The attacks of dyspnoea are greatly diminished, the headache is almost gone. In general she feels much better, has more peace, has more self-confidence and is less worried about her daughter. She does not feel she has to fulfil requirements that she supposes others have of her.
After 2 years she has a slight relapse and a repetition of the remedy.
Six years later she is much calmer in life, making life much easier. She still has worries but they no longer dominate. Things are just going well with her, needing no more homeopathic treatment.
