Artemisia vulgaris

666.47.14 Artemisia vulgaris, Case
Man, 40, epilepsy.
He comes with epilepsy since childhood. As an aura he sometimes has a kind of deja vu, sometimes vertigo, as if his head is turning. Mostly he has absences. In the past he had grand mal a few times, his girlfriend told him. With that he once had loss of urine but he never bites his tongue. After the attacks he is very tired. The attacks often are connected to a period of lack of sleep. Epilepsy is not in the family.
At 9 he had meningitis, with high fever, 40 degrees and severe pain in his temples. He was hospitalised for a week.
When he was 10 his parents divorced and his father went to another woman. He did not see his father during 1/2 year and felt left alone, as if he was not important. He knew that his father would leave him. Then his mother told that it could not be that bad for him. His father was not the person to give fatherly advice.
He did civil service instead of military service.
He is open-minded, somewhat inconsistent and gives up too soon.
He feels sexually frustrated. His wife thinks that he is very technical and he is not so passionate.
Natural authority is okay for him but he hates authority that comes from a uniform.
He is a cameraman by profession, not very successful. But it is challenging, he has to be organised.
He also went into gardening as a profession and became more and more sophisticated in it.
He likes hang gliding, likes to improvise.
Desire: pasta, sweets.
Dream: para-gliding.
He blames his father for leaving when he was 10, feeling unloved.

He returned after a month feeling good. He had one big attack which started with a turning feeling in his stomach also, which he had not had for 5 years. He has more energy, can do more. Artemissia vulgaris was repeated.
After 7 years he reports that he has not had any more attacks. He had been sceptical but it is all going very well.
