Crocus sativus

Case 2.7: CROCUS
In this 35-year-old woman, the main complaint is "premenstrual syndrome". From 14 days before menstruation, it is as if there is a devil in her body: she then falls out, shouts, curses, in short, is unreasonable. "There's a little ball of disgust in me, it's bubbling and it explodes. She is therefore depressed and weepy. Physically she also complains about a throbbing headache occipital ext. neck/back, nail biting and a red head. Her vision deteriorates during the headache "my eyes don't want to close and everything merges into one another".

intense, with clots as slings, endometriosis resulting in subfertility, "feeling as if".
Menses:

Teeth: Crumbled in puberty.

Mind
Patient comes across as cheerful and expressive, even intense. She is sensitive, laughs a lot and is busy during the consultation. Neither the depressive nor the aggressive sides of her personality are visible in the consultation. These aspects only come to the fore at home. After her falls, she always regrets immediately. Despite her spontaneous cheerfulness, she says she doesn't talk easily, at least not about herself.
She also talks about her "fear of divorce". After the death of her grandmother when she was 8 years old, she has been sad for years. The death of her father two years ago is still very high on her mind and she experiences it as unfair. She quickly takes care of things that happen in the family and she is helpful.
Fears: heights (2), lifts (2), crowd (3), escalator down (2)
Prescription
Because of the intensity and the expressiveness, I thought of the drug Crocus. The keynotes confirm the prescription:
Anger with quick repentance
Menses clotted stringy
Alive as if, in abdomen.
However, the last two symptoms were not mentioned spontaneously. As is so often the case, the drug only becomes clear when asked.

The Liliales characteristics are less obvious but still present. Patient is busy, helpful, wants to do everything right repentance. She is concerned with the meaning of life (religiosity). She is shameless in her expressiveness.
Physically, she only suffers from the pelvic area: her periods are intense and the endometriosis is painful.

Follow up
The premenstrual symptoms are reduced and last 3 to 5 days and are also less intense. The patient is calmer, more thoughtful and better at herself.
From the beginning of '95 the drug was given twice in 200K potency, then twice in MK potency (all this in half a year time) and since then once or twice a year in 10 MK, the last time in November '97.
In particular, a kind of wilderness has disappeared (more so than the changing showers) and the underlying uncertainty is clearly less.
Her daughter
The insecurity I have come to understand mainly by means of her daughter. At the age of 6 she is already afraid of doing something wrong at home and at school. She constantly asks the teacher if she has understood correctly. She is insecure and shy. She dreams about dinosaurs, crocodiles and sharks. I gave Silicea and Calcium silicata because of her lack of identity, but with little result. Her mother drew my attention to the fact that her daughter had to use the same drug as she did, because they were similar in terms of changing moods, car sickness and insecurity.
According to the Masi group this uncertainty is the core, the central fear of the Crocus patient formulated in the section delusion that he is unfit for business.
