13.7 Holmium oxydatum case
Width 6, Depth 6, Cure 7, Duration 5
A girl of 13 years of age has had ulcerative colitis for 6 years. She has cramps in her abdomen, a deep penetrating pain, going from side to side. Her stool is liquid. She often gets diarrhea after meals. Her medication is Imuran, corticosteroids and salicylicates. A coloscopy was very traumatic: she woke up during it and wanted to escape but the nurses pushed her down.
Her disease started after her parents divorced. Her father had another woman and left her mother. She does not like her father's second wife. Her paternal grandmother tries to manipulate everyone. She ruined her life and that of her father. She belittles people, saying she always did things better. Her grandmother loved her very much in the beginning, but that changed when she got grandchildren from her daughter. They are always better than she is. She despises her grandmother “a stupid small-minded human being”. She has one brother and feels that she has to protect him against their father, grandmother and stepmother. Her father degrades her brother, calling him “stupid”. Her father drinks a lot of alcohol and is imposing in his manner, so he keeps losing friends. He often insults her mother, blaming her for things that go wrong in his life. When she is with her father, she feels like she is walking on a minefield. She is used by her father to show off, for example playing her flute for his guests. She wishes that her father could change because she cares for him.
She has big problems with her classmates and she feels very detached from them. She is left on her own and has no friends. In sport, she is always the last to be picked. She's very retiring because of this. She has a strong desire to talk. She had one friend with similar problems with the classmates and with auto-mutilation. She tried to free that friend who was not as clever as her.

Analysis
Here again we have a case of ulcerative colitis: Lanthanides and oxydatum. The auto-immune aspect leads to the Lanthanides and the dirty stool aspect to Oxygen.
For the Stage we have the idea of retreating, retiring: Stage 13. She’s confident, so it’s more Stage 10 to 17. But she doesn't really fight (Stage 12) and doesn't give up (Stage 15 or later). She knows better for herself, but cannot get that out in the world, so she half holds on to her ideas: Stage 13. She also retires (Stage 13) into her inner world (Lanthanides) of mythology and elves.
Combined this leads to Holmium oxydatum.
Confirmations
Lanthanides: big eyes, therapist for her girlfriend and brother, deep pain, aversion being manipulated, insulted and degraded.
Gold series: bone pain.
Stage 13: they were only half as good after the grandmother had her other grandchildren.
Oxygen: being used by the father, wronged.
Follow up
After Holmium oxydatum MK the pains are much reduced and her stool is quite normal. In the beginning she was tired and moody. Recently she had a headache as she had in the past. Her energy is the same, but there were a few late nights.
She is much less tense according to the mother, more relaxed and more friendly. She dreamt that she was becoming an elf. In the discussion to diminish the regular medication gradually and slowly, she tells us that she has stopped the corticosteroids and Imuran already. She just “forgot”, because she had so little pain or trouble. She decided it herself, typical of a Lanthanide.
Six months later, she has almost no complaints left and feels good.
