655.46.07 Ailanthus altissima, Case
Man, 50, bursitis on his left elbow.
In the beginning, his elbow is swollen, later red and painful. It hurts when he bumps his elbow. The back of his elbow has a fistule discharging yellow fluid.
He also has a kind of eczema in his axilla and the hollow of his right elbow. It is red and itches, worse in the warm summer. He has pains in his throat worse from swallowing. His throat feels heavy, as if it is going up and down when he walks. His voice is hoarse, better after coughing. His cervical glands are swollen. He has slight hypertension. He has backache in his lumbar region, extending to his leg. He is treated for those by an orthopaedic specialist and with special shoes. He has allergies, which lead to pricking and itching in his eye. His vision is diminished with slow accommodation.
The complaints started after a disappointment at his work. He had the feeling that his contributions were dismissed. There was a reorganisation at his work and he feels he has less influence, has been pushed further from the centre. He felt he could not trust his managers. He felt set aside by the new managers. It gave him the feeling of a balloon that deflates. He feels unsure because he has less control. He feels restless because he does not know where he stands. In general he has a positive attitude. He gives a lot and works hard, perseveres in his goals. He is serious, precise. He likes his work but wants to be in control himself. He has an aversion to being a victim.
In his youth his mother was depressed for a long time, even suicidal. The children had to keep an eye on their mother most of the time, so there was no space for him. He was the elder brother and the one responsible. His brother went out and he cared for their mother. It gave him the feeling of being lived through, not living himself. It was more giving than receiving. It gave him the feeling of being powerless when he heard his mother weeping. It made him feel guilty. Due to this situation he was not very assertive and for a time in his life he did not have his own opinions. He denied his own needs, as if it did not matter. He had few friends, mostly handicapped people. He also felt repressed in contact with girls. But later on he overcame this attitude, he did not want to be a victim anymore.
His mother’s parents were always quarrelling, especially about her father running after women. The family was closed, few friends and people visited them. He also did not take friends home. In their family they went into a power state instead of showing weakness. He is used to surviving on his own.

Follow up
After Ailanthus MK he gradually starts feeling better. In the beginning he had a period of flushes in his face. After a month his eye symptoms are gone, the hypertension is gone, he has hardly any backaches and his elbow is well. The throat pains are better but not completely gone.
He feels better psychologically. He has a more positive attitude at his work. He has more of a feeling that he can have influence.
