Zooology
Zygentoma have three conspicous long caudal filaments. The two lateral filaments are cerci, and the medial one is an epiproct or appendix dorsalis. In this they resemble the Archaeognatha, although the cerci of Zygentoma are nearly as long as the epiproct.
