5.3 Yttrium, Case 2
A woman of 25 years age comes on consultation for timidity and emotional flatness. When she goes out to dance, she doesn’t have the courage to really dance and just stands at the edge of the dancing floor, swaying a bit on the music. She thinks a lot and blocks herself with that. She studies homeopathy, but doesn’t have the courage to go working as a homeopath. She doesn’t like her normal job. In the past she has studied piano, but she stopped it because her parents forced too much.
She can be morose form the feeling that she should do something. But she doesn’t know what she should do and so she sits and walks around, passing the time. It makes her feel useless. She would like to express herself more, also in homeopathy. She lives with the utopia that she would always know what she should do, how she would like to be.
As physical complaints she has eczema between her toes and a herpes labialis. From time to time she has a dry barking cough that hurts everywhere in her body.
She dreams about chaos, that she continually goes from one situation into another.
Analysis
She cannot make a choice, tries one thing after another. But in reality she doesn’t do much. That points to Stage 3. Stage 3 is also indicated by: timidity, passes her time doing nothing, dream of changing situations and stopping piano playing.
The Silverserie is the field of problems: homeopathy, piano playing, utopia, expressing herself.
Stage 3 in the Silverserie is Yttrium. Yttrium is also expressed in her dancing (Silverserie), not having the courage to really dance and just stands at the edge.
Follow up
After Yttrium metallicum MK she gets for the first time in her life she gets the feeling that she is OK. She doesn’t have to fight so much anymore. Her timidity is much less. She’s content how she is, instead of living with her utopia. She feels surer.
The complaints are much less.
