Worse when her daughter was pregnant at 18. She said nothing, had no emotions, “weeping solves nothing”, embracing her child.
They had a happy family but their religion meant there were confrontations. It was a good youth until she had a relationship. She was forbidden to go out, but she followed her husband, eloped, left her parents and left behind their village, a small religious community. Her husband said it was not a good time; she has never told her children this story. Her opinion is that you have to listen to your parents and obey them, but this time they were wrong. In her youth she was disobedient, in eloping with her husband she did what she really wanted to do. But for most of her life she has been obedient, not confrontational, she has always avoided starting problems.
