Some differentiations between the Thymelaceae.
Mezereum desires to say vexatious things which is causing remorse and repentance. But he himself becomes confused from any intercurrent remark of others.
Daphne is more timid than Mezereum; gets embarrassed, confused from vexation; or feels as if body parts are separated or feels pains about the heart. Mezereum seems tougher which shows it self in the symptoms: (Delusion/fear) that the brain is hard, as if abdomen would become rigid or as if abdomen would adhere to chest. Of Dirca much less is known; It produces much vital depression; there is a fear that he will hear bad news soon.
What are common symptoms in the Thymelaceae?
As other Malvales the Thymelacea withdraw much of what they want to utter. In this family there seems to be more irritability, but they do not feel comfortable: they get confused, memory gets weak or they make mistakes if they try to make their mark.
Both are heedless and frightened easily.
They have anxiety from pains, for example about the heart; they are oversensitive to pain. Both dream of cats.
Interesting physical symptoms that Mezereum and Daphne share (these symptoms will occur, to a certain extend, probably in Dirca too). The amount of remedies of each rubric is given between brackets.
There is much inconsistency in the symptoms; pains are erratic, changeable; limbs may feel scattered or enlarged.

Possible uses for plants that are not known in homeopathy yet.
Durio zibethinus (durian fruit, Malvoideae) could fit stage 16 because of the intensely offensive character of its peel.
Hibiscus esculentus (Okra) bears the distinctive feature of the order, production of slime.
in ultima forma en may so represent stage 10. It is also ultimately soft as food.
Ochroma pyramidale (balsa wood, Sterculioideae, core Malvales) is not known in homeopathy; if ever it might be representing stage 14: 'empty, just the form' because of its ultra light wood that is used for all kinds of sculpuring and building light constructions.
In the same sub-family is Adansonia digitata (Baobab tree); this might be stage 11/12, sycosis, because of its huge 'swollen' trunk, which
The meaning of fibre-forming for homeopathic pictures or stages is not clear yet; the order of the Malvales knows many species that provide fibres: Gossypium (cotton), Bombax (kapok tree), Devil's Cotton (Abroma augusta) and Jute, obtained from the phloem fibres of Corchorus capsularis and Corchorus olitorius.
