Taxonomy
Rumexoideae is a subfamily in Polygonaceae. In the first version of the Plant theory Polygonaceae were placed in Subphase 6, with the Eriogonoideae split off and placed in SUbphase 5.
In Plant theory 2 Polygonaceae are split in 4 Subfamilies: Rumexoideae, Persicaroideae, Polygonoideae and Eriogonoidea, respectively place in Subphase 4 to 7.
Genera: Emex, Calligonum, Fagopyrum, Oxyria, Pteropyrum, Rheum, Rumex.

Calligoneae: Calligonum, Pteropyrum.
Fagopyreae: Fagopyrum.
