644.55.16 Physostigma venenosum, Case
Woman, 30, chronic fatigue syndrome.
She has pains in the muscles of her back; they are rigid and hard, in the dorsal region and neck.
She is sleepless. She has pain in the joint of her jaw, worse from stress and grinding teeth. She has vaginitis and pain from intercourse.
She has asthma, worse in autumn and in the evening in bed, worse from coffee, tobacco and exertion, with lack of breath and coughing, a pressure on her sternum and heavy breathing.
She feels subordinated. She is the youngest of 7 children and her mother did not want her anymore. She felt unwanted, not at home, as if she had been adopted. She was sexually abused for 10 years by her brothers. Her mother knew but did nothing. She missed a familiar place for herself but could go nowhere. It did not matter what she wanted. She feels worthless, a nobody. She feels overwhelmed, powerless, unimportant.
Fear: narrow places, spiders, big dogs, snakes, mice, rats.
She is too tired to work but feels pursued by the social services.
Dream: having a big house and plenty of money, showing her family that she does not need them.
Analysis
Carbon series: worthless, nobody.
Silicon series: abused by sibling.
Iron series: cannot work or have a job.
Phase 5: dream big house, much money; fear narrow.
Fabaceae: chronic fatigue syndrome.
Stage 16: abused; mother behaved as nothing happened.
Follow up
After Physostigma MK she is doing better. She is less anxious and depressed. She starts volunteer work. She is more assertive. 4 months later she feels much stronger, can stand up against her mother and other family members.
