Region: western Himalayas, Kashmir, Murree, Hazara, Swat District, Kurram.
Habitat: altitudes from 1200 to 2800 meters.
Use: wood for handles, walking sticks; twigs for baskets and rope.

Botany
Deciduous shrub or small tree; to 6 meters tall; 4 meters wide.
Stem: wood strong.
Flowers: hermaphrodite; dense tufts of stamens; blooming from April to June.
