Scientific name: Papaver somniferum.
English name: Poppy.
Opium is the gummy exudation of the unripe capsule of the poppy.

A man lying on a battlefield, his army has lost and the enemy comes to kill the survivors, in order to survive he feigns death. As a dead man he doesn’t feel anything, even when they prick in him he doesn’t react. His stool runs out of his "dead" body. He has already death spots.

Tendency to lie.
Deceptive, vision, taste touch, perversion of all senses.

Type: light hair, lax muscles.
Weather: chilly, > cold, > uncovering, < heat, sunstroke.
Sweat: hot, whole body except lower limbs.

CNS: apoplexy; epilepsy, spasm, tetanus.
Head: heavy occiput.

Ears: buzzing, tinkling, sea roaring; hearing acute.
Eyes: red, bulging; staring, glassy; half open; turned upward; eyelids hanging, paralyzed; pupils fixed, contracted, dilated, = light. Face: red, bloated, swollen, dark suffused, hot, intoxicated, besotted; distorted; trembling, twitching, spasmodic, corners of mouth; veins distended; jaw locked, hanging down; lips swollen, protruding.
Nose: loss of smell.
Mouth: dry. Blubbering of lips. Bloody froth. Looseness of teeth. Ulcers in mouth and on tongue. Copious salivation. Taste: bitter, sour taste.
Tongue: purple, white, black; paralysis; protrudes to right side, dry.
