Oxytocinum

Introduction
Oxytocinum is also called the Love hormone or Happiness hormone. It is a hormone and a neurotransmitter. It induces contractions at the end of the pregnancy and weakens the cervix of the uterus. In breast feeding Oxytocinum induces the flow and production of milk. It reliefs pain, anxiety and restlessness. Oxytocin gives feeling of rest, peace, happiness, love and connection, especially with the newborn child.
