Habitat: riverine, lowland, submontane, montane and upper montane forest; thicket.
Use: wood for fuel; wood for building poles, whipsticks and tool handles; tree for shade and amenity.

Botany
Evergreen, slow-growing, understorey tree, secondary scrub, to 10 m high.
