Color: colorless; greeny, grey-yellow, white, rose; streak white.
Hardness: 6.

Lustre: glassy.
Crystal structure: Monocline.

Mineralogy
Orthoclase, or orthoclase feldspar.
It forms igneous rock.
The gem known as moonstone is largely composed of orthoclase.
