Mind
Absent-minded, dull, forgetful, prostration.
Sad.
Irritable, morose, sulky, quick-tempered.
Laziness, absent minded. Low-spirited but attends to business rapidly.
Fear: death < alone.
Dream: rats under clothes; artillery fire; confused.
General
Sensation: raw, as if in a vice.
Time: < 3 am.
Sleep: late and heavy in morning, disinclined to rise; restless, troubled; sudden starting from sleep.
Physical: > walking in open air.
Body
General: tertiary syphilis.
Head: headache, occiput, extending spine, scapulae, temples extending tomocciput; sensation of a vice, full, bursting; + yawning, + stretching.
Eyes: dry, swollen, < night.
Face: hot; pimples on face, bleed easily; acne.
Nose: mucus, excoriating; nostrils dry, especially the left, itch painfully, are sore; much sneezing.
Mouth: dry, < night; much saliva; tongue, dry, yellow, parched, swollen, as if burnt, coated at base, tip red, irregular.
Throat: dry.
Lungs: respiration hurried < night; expectoration less, lighter colour, < morning.
Abdomen: pain in umbilical region.
Rectum: ineffectual straining with regular stool.
Urinary: urine scanty, high-coloured, dark yellow, white thready clouds floating.
Back: backache.
Limbs: legs sore, bruised; aching in thighs, elbows and shoulders, external muscles of thigh and upper arm; gout, rheumatism.
Skin: dry, itching, whole body, thighs, buttocks, < warmth of bed; acne !; herpes; brown.
