The homeopathic themes of the Malpighiales.
What is the coherence in this order of the Malpighiales. And after having answered this question we will discuss the themes of the ‘sub-orders’.
Mental activity and excitement in general and especially in the evening and at night (-->more Gr V(Violales) than Gr E (Euphorbiaceae).

Excitement, general (Viola-t, Viola-o, Coca, Hyper, Bani-c,Passi, Pop, Hura, Merl -->emphasis on Gr 1), Excitement, nervous (ˇPop, Passi --> Gr V), Excitement evening (Viola-t), Loquacity evening (Viola-t), Fancies, exaltation of fancies (Coca, Viola-t, Viola-o -->Gr V). Cheerfulness is an item mostly for the group of Violales.

There is a predominance of the intellectual functions:

The Malpighiales are mental or even intellectual and excited and cheerful. But the are not overt emotional. This is best illustrated by the following symptoms (from the Millenium Repertory):

In Passiflora it is mentioned as a symptom and that is a symptom in it self. The remedies fit people who are directed in them selves, not in contact with the social world and not really grounded:
Delusion floating in the air (Pass, Euph, Bani-c), Cheerfulness with feeling of lightness (Bani-c), Detached (Bani-c), Extremities, feet seem Furry/Fuzziness of feet (Hyper), Generalities Anaesthesia (Pop), Confusion while walking (Viola-t), Dreams confused (Viola-o).
Introspection ((Viola-t), Meditation, sensation of meditation (Viola-o, Euph, Bani-c), Trance (Bani-c), Being Magnetized amel (Viola-o), Ailments from being magnetized (Hyper), Tranquility (Euph), Quiet disposition (Viola-t, Viola-o), Thoughts, thoughtful about himself /Absorbed (Viola-o).
Taciturn, indisposed to talk (Viola-o, Viola-t, Pass, Lin-c, Euph, Jatr, Crot-t, Manc -->Gr E+V), Speech, voice lost (Pass, Pop, Pop-c, Lin-u, Acal, Still, Manc, Crot-t -->Gr V+E), Mouth, paralysis of tongue (Lin-u), Paralysis of throat (Pop). And only when they have lost control the opposite can happen: Delirium, loquacious (Pass), Talks wildly in sleep (Hyper).
It is interesting that the Malpighiales contain famous remedies as Hypericum and Passiflora and we do not have a clear mental picture of them. This may be due to the closedness of the constitutional patients.
Hysteria (Coca, Hyper, Viola-o, Pass,Salx-n, Pop, Crot-t --> Gr V)
They may be obstinate, or contrary (Viola-t, Bani-c, Lin-c, Coca, Hura) in a clear but minor degree.
Changeable Mood (Coca, Flor-p, Viola-o -->Gr V), capricious (Coca, Viola-t).
They dream about children (Pass, Cass, Merl, Hura) or may be childish (Viola-o)
There is weakness of identity, a ‘lack of self’ in their lives. Want of self confidence (Viola-t), Instability of Idea3’s (Viola-o), Delusion he is taped into the collective unconsciousness (Bani-c), Disoriented with everything (Bani-c), Delusion head is separated from body (Bani-c).
We can understand this much better when we realise that there is so very little (expression of) anger !!! The rubrics Rage and Anger contain only Bani-c, Hyper, Jatr, Manc, Hura, Crot-t, Merl; all in first degree and almost not in any subrubric. Only Irritability and Morose are well represented. It seems forbidden to show emotions and resent.
The order of the Malpighiales seems to suppress t‰he deeper emotions.
The choice of the Euphorbiaceae is more in submission and outbursts (anger, diarrhoea); the behave weak, weak willed. With delusions of frightful humans, devils and spectres.
In contrast the group of the Violales tries to stay in control by mentalizing and mental activity. Here we see little or no anger, but mental activity, cheerfulness and finally floating away.
Both are very distant from their personal strength and have a strong ‘lack of self’, lack of control over their lives.
This is illustrated with the following unique symptoms of the members of this order.
Fear of death; as if his soul was escaping from his body (Bani-c)

The chest and heart region are a focus. Anxiety in chest (Coca, Viola-t, Viola-o, Hyper, Salx-n, Crot-t -->Gr V)
Anxiety in stomach (Euph, Crot-t, Jatr -->Gr E).
Chest, pain of the heart ((Viola-t, Viola-o, Bani-c, Coca, Hyper, Crot-t, Euph, Manc, Still --> Strong symptom for both Gr v+E)
Tension in the cervical region (Viola-t, Viola-o, Hyper, Bani-c, Euph --> more Gr V than Gr E)
Urination involuntary (Viola-o, Viola-t, Coca -->Gr V)
Sleep, waking frequent (Salx-p, Viola-o, Viola-t, Coca, Hura, Euph, Merl --> Gr V+E)
Pains are mainly stitching (both groups) and a little less sore (both groups); burning pains are characteristic for the Euphorbiaceae and much less for the Violales. There is some drawing pain and interestingly enough in the nervous Violales there is almost no neuralgic pain.
