Magnolianae

Mind

Survival
They try to survive with a new set of tools and are uncertain how they will manage. It is as if they are new and vulnerable in a world that is new to them. The surrounding is not familiar and there is no shelter.

Confusion
Confusion is a main item: disorientation in self and surrounding; in time and in place. We know it best from Camphora; camphor is found in different concentration in most of the plants of Magnoliid clade. It gives the feeling that they lose their way, are forgetful, etc. And then they feel cold, just as you might feel as a settler in a new and hostile region far from relatives and protection. Or, as in Camphora as a traveller in arctic region that lost his group. Some feel as lost in space, like David Bowie, in his song Space Odysee about the astronaut that is lost in universe (comparable situations are known from provings). All these items have much of Hydrogen and Camphor for example has the formula C 10 H16 O; this is very much hydrogen in comparison to Oxygen. Camphora can be given to people who feel “left out in the cold”, being separated from friends and relatives.

Dementia
Quite the opposite pole is dementia: the world that a person lived in for many years crumbles and disappears: the patient does not remind the well known acts, relatives and places. They feel in the cold (see Space Odysee) in a world that they have known.

Identity
Even their own bounderies are not developed yet; they confound their inner self and the outside world: deep confusion.
Their identity is not yet developed (C10 H16 O is much of the Hydrogen series and much of the Carbon series (Jan Scholten) as in a baby or a toddler. Or their identity is shocked and as in dementia, emigration or broken family roots.

Roots absent
And people that have a deep shock and lose all that was familiar, as the case of Sankaran in the women that learned that her father was not her biological father. We have seen this also in Asarum.
The cause can be the loss of their parents in early childhood. Adoption is a theme (compare Polygonaceae). Also severe shock and stress in early childhood or during birth is often seen. The labour can be with mcuh danger of death of the child or mother.

Immigrants
An other example that we can see in these plants is the immigrant from a poor country or the country boy coming in the big city. Every thing they knew has disappeared; they have to learn so much and be aware for so many things. Will they adapt or isolate themselves.
