A man of 45 years has asthma. He has shortness of breath as if he has been running. It goes together with itching in his throat and much sneezing and it’s better in fresh air. But too cold weather as in Holland produces coryza and asthma. The asthma is worse lying. The complaints are worse in the summer, in the heat of the sun. He has an allergy for perfumes, aftershave, dust, feather, pillows, plants, turpentine and cigarettes.
The complaints are much related with financial worries. His first wife left him and their two children, so he has to take care of them. For a long time he worked for his mother, who works as a food contractor, but he didn’t earn money with it, only got food and shelter. In 95 his sister in England invited him to work for her. Later she advised him to start his own business and earn his own money. It’s then that the asthma started. He moved to Holland and worked there illegal. After his marriage with a Dutch woman he could work legal as a security officer. He likes the job and it’s not difficult. He’s busy to earn money in order to be able to start his own job in Ghana after a few years. As he sees it “When you have money, you have everything”.
The same topic of money returns in his dreams. He dreams about selling his car and the next day someone came to buy it in Ghana. He dreams about business coming to reality.
He’s an easy going person, likes to have fun and talk with friends. He likes business and advising friends. His second wife complains often that he’s away for hours, sometimes nights without saying where he is or will go. He’s not easily angered.
A minor complaint is a left sided headache since half a year. For the rest he has been healthy his whole life.

Analysis
The theme of money and business is a strong one for the Cucurbitaceae. At the same time we see the “climber” theme in the use of the marriage to earn money legally.
When we look for asthma in the family of the Cucurbitaceae we find Luffa there very strongly. Luffa is also known for the symptoms: > open air, < warm room, < dust.
Reaction
After Luffa operculata 200K his asthma diminishes fast. After one month he has only 50% left and after 4 months he has only 10% left. In general he feels better, feels OK with himself.
