Ledum
Ledum is know for healing injuries, wounds, bites, punctured wounds. Also for its use in rheumatic and gouty complaints. It acts on joints, periosteum, sciatic nerve. Many of the familycaracteristics are present in Ledum.
The mental picture gives the following peculiarities:

Further we read: misanthropy, tendency to anger and rage, vehement angry mood.
This gives the picture of a person difficult to communicate with. He or she lives in a private world. The cause seems to be in a sealed constitution:

Not only mentally but also physically we see several suppressions:

It seems that the body is not allowed to express itself. Or the person does not even dare to move its arms or spit
And the emotions are not registred as emotions of their own but as something strange (as in Rhododendron):

So the Ledumpatient seems to be a person that does not show its emotions; but the emotions are present and come to the surface when the patient closes its eyes or in the nightmares. And its physical complaints do not show itself in a straight way either.
The tension in a Ledumpatient is expressed for example in its respiratory symptoms:

Ledum is a cold remedy and inspite of this peole need cold applications or to uncover the body and the injured parts

On the other hand the patient may experience heat:

Ledum is the most quiet remedy of this family; there is no restlessness, no amelioration from motion. The clearest symptom is:

Ledum is very sensitive to false steps; headpain, backpain etc.
