This iris controls all dimensions: from the rhizomes (no bulbs) crawling over the earth, small roots descend in the soil. The long, pointed leaves reach up looking like swords. As the wavelike flowers unfold all spatial positions are utilised. Chalky soil is desired by the plant.
Contains Ascorbic acid. Not as poisonous as Iris pseudocarus. Physical
