The Gymnospermae are nudibranches, seed plants with the ovule open on the fruit leaf. We distinguish the following groups:
1. Cycadae
Family: Cycadaceae
2. Gneticae
Family: Ephedraceae
Means: Ephedra vouleurs
3. Pinicae
a. Cupressaceae
cypressans
Means: Juniperus (juniper), Sabina (seven-tree), Thuja (western tree of life)
b. Ginkgoaceae
Medium: Gingko biloba
c. Pinaceae: pine family: pines, spruces and larchs
Means: Abies canadensis (Canadian Hemlockspar), Abies nigra (black fir), Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine)
d. Taxaceae
Medium: Yew baccata, Yew brevifolia
e. Taxodiaceae: marsh cypress species, with the famous Sequioa gigantea and Sequoia sempervivens.
