Gentiana lutea

Gentiana lutea
Remedy code: 3-665.2 3.08.
A 39-year-old woman, who appears much younger, she has deer-like eyes, is calm and attentive, moves remarkably little, sits still, and is alert but with a hint of melancholy. Previously, she often came with her children, "switching" well between paying attention to and engaging with the child and maintaining a conversation. She speaks softly, cautiously but very concretely. Her eyes look good, but she gives a burnt- out impression. The reason for her visit is a rash on her left hand, near the base of the thumb, which itches, peels, and bumps. With fatty ointment applied, it looks like a burn, feels warm, and is sore from the itching. The itching is constant, with frequent scratching in her sleep or waking from it; it worsens when wet. This has been ongoing for two months, last year it started similarly in the spring. Cortisone cream does nothing. Additionally, she always feels a lump in her throat, which has been present for years, worse in the spring and mornings. Clearing her throat releases some mucus, which improves it. She notices it while speaking, eating, drinking, or swallowing does not change it. She is busy with her children and works a few days as a secretary. She is always tired; if she lies down, she can sleep. She drag herself through the day. If she sits on the couch for a moment, she falls asleep. She finds concentrating difficult, though she manages at work by focusing. Since a car accident, concentration has been difficult; she was thrown head-first into a bar. Since then, everything has hit her 20 times harder, especially sounds, and she was home for a long time afterward. Since then, he has had daily headaches, which limit her. During the pain she has also struggle with speaking, searching for words. She manages everything, but it takes more effort. The pain is always on the forehead, neck, and a small spot on the vertex. Three years ago, she followed a rehabilitation program. She was given Theridion. Afterward, the feeling of over-stimulation worsened, and the rash was calm for three weeks, no more itching. After these three weeks, she had a severe flu, the worst she could remember, with everything hurting: her hair, back, feet. Since then, she hasn't been able to recover, and life is difficult. She also had days of bleeding with cramps, despite having had a coil for a year. The lump in her throat is now also worse, along with a bad taste in her mouth, coming from the throat. Remarkable, as she is rarely ill. She had chills, a fever of 39°C, coughing, and no voice. Since the flu, her headache has been extreme, and she is extremely tired, falling asleep by 8 PM, unable to fight it. Sounds overwhelm her; at work, if someone else is on the phone, she can't tune it out. Her sleep is good, and she has no dreams. At work: two months ago, she started a new position within the company that suits her better. However, it is very demanding due to the workload and responsibility; she has to learn a lot. She has to be very creative with clients, which feels like "running on fumes." She is gentle and very accommodating to everyone.

Analysis
Trauma and the theme of pain point to Asterales. Extreme sensitivity matches Malvidae, and the sensitive ears correspond to the Silver series. Both must be in the remedy picture, as these complaints are dominant.
The reaction to Theridion was an aggravation, which typically clarifies the pattern and remedy picture. The starting point was the rubric "Ailment after fever," where Gentiana lutea is listed. This aligned with the following information.
Gold series: trauma occurred during the start (an early Stage) of living independently. Responsibility at work.
Silver series: at work, it involves empathy, conveying ideas, and adapting. Theme, as capacity and the burden.
Phase 2: complaints started early in her development toward autonomy.
Phase 3: her ambitions were limited; she always adapts.
Stage 8: Pushing through to continue with life and work, despite fatigue and pain.
Gentianaceae: Past conflicts involved seeking approval from in-laws. She adapted (Phase 3) to the "cultural differences" (Silver series theme) between families. For peace, she stayed quiet, feeling powerless to oppose and
adapt, feeling or being dependent (Subphase 3, within Gold series’ autonomy and Silver series' family culture and customs). Holding in anger. Unable or unwilling to choose between the two groups and their conflicting
expectations.
Prescription: Gentiana lutea C200,

Follow-up
She developed pimples on her chin and neck, bumps, and became very emotional. Normally, she was calm and even-tempered, but now she was angry, sad, and emotional as if she couldn't control herself. The overstimulation in her head has decreased significantly; it feels calmer, and she is less affected by noise and sounds. After two weeks, she experienced a week of severe memory problems, worse than usual. The intense headache disappeared after a few days, leaving a sensation as if her entire head was being pressed, feeling slightly fuzzy. She is standing her ground more toward her family and colleagues. Sleep is variable; she still wakes up tired. The rash on her hand disappeared quickly, while on her sides, it took two months.
Occasionally, she has lower abdominal pain, which she thinks is caused by the coil. She has a mild cold without significant complaints. In the coming months, she remains highly emotional (in her own opinion), expressing her anger and irritation. Normally, she is not good at showing emotions. The over stimulation has improved; there are good days when she feels capable of taking on the world. The eczema is now completely gone. On vacation, she still experienced a lot of headaches, feeling as if her entire head was being compressed, especially around the eyes, with a sensation as if she were drunk. It felt as though the world was passing by while she was watching from a distance. Her reactions were too slow. She noticed it in her speech, which became slower; she struggled to find her words, needing to think about them. At work, she can "switch it off" while focusing on tasks, but at home, it hits her twice as hard. Emotionally, she expresses herself more, including anger (which she had kept bottled up for years, always adapting to others). The pain is now less severe. Regarding over stimulation, there are now good days (which hadn't been the case for years), and she can sleep when she is tired.
The peculiarities of the headache, which are becoming more pronounced. Overall, things are improving , but a new distinctive pattern seems to have emerged. After the accident: there was a loss of function, till now she still feels slightly numb on the right side of her face (at the time, there was pain on the left side, around the eye, and headache throughout her head). It is visible when she suddenly cannot follow anymore. She had long chosen the "easy way," lacking the energy to speak up or respond. Now, if people are upset because she is angry, she thinks, "Let it be." Still, at the end of the day, she experiences significant headaches, difficulty thinking, and struggles to find her words, which has been the case for a long time. She has always had trouble reading and learning. Gentiana lutea seems to match her attitude toward life, triggered or reinforced by the trauma. There appears to remain a neurological damage, and a suitable remedy has been sought. One characteristic related to the headache and loss of function, a "concomitant," is found in the rubric Time goes too quickly, where Psilocybe is mentioned. Prescription of Psilocybe C200 causes severe headaches for weeks, which then subside and even disappear for two months. The emotions are manageable. She describes everything as being reasonably under control. She remains tired; during busy periods, she can function on autopilot. As long as she keeps going, everything works, but once she stops, the energy is gone. She often wears dull-colored clothing, which looks a bit boring. During busy periods, the headaches return.

Analysis 2
Things were improving, but with overload and pressure, the pain returned. Additionally, there was a prolonged aggravation, prompting the search for a better-suited remedy. Good prescriptions rarely or never cause aggravations, as practice shows (and seldom need repetition).
Gold series: Her individuality is gone, no longer present. Complaints involve consciousness.
Phase 7: Inability to keep up, no longer able or willing to make an effort, or lacking the energy to do so. Loss of function; tissues no longer participate; persistent consequences of the accident and damage. Phase 5: Restlessness as a theme; keeping busy helps, seeking more, wanting more, staying active to avoid collapsing.
Stage 10: Strengthening oneself, persevering.
Prescription: Branca heracleon MK.

Follow-up
Within three weeks, her head feels much better. There is not much headache anymore, her energy is improving, and in the last two weeks, she has been getting out of bed much better. The busyness of the children: previously, she would be completely drained afterward, but now she can handle it better! What she still continues to feel is a band above her eyes, around to C1. She no longer has emotional outbursts and does not take things as personally. She had a slight cold. Things continue to go well for years. During the COVID wave, she experienced significant shortness of breath and felt anxious. As a child, she already had many respiratory complaints. Repeating Branca heracleon quickly helps.
