Use: bark for medicines; wood.

Botany
Medium sized, canopy Amazon rainforest tree; extreme bitterness.
Stem: light brown to yellow furrowed trunk; branches produce latex.
Leaves: alternate; gold-like hairiness at the underside.
Flowers: showy; white.
Fruits: horn-like; 2 follicle-like segments fused; yellow when ripe; produce latex.
Seeds: numerous; white; flat.

Body
Action: against cancer and leukemia cells; suppressing HIV and herpes viruses.
