Mycology: causes Panama disease in bananas; can survive 40 years in soil; requires very wet conditions; release of spores typically during rainy or foggy weather; requires calcium.
English: pathogenic, parasitic or saprophytic mould; causes wilt in crop plants, with loss of turgidity and collapse of leaves.
