Fumariaceae are included in the Papaveracae in the Apg3 classification. They are placed in Phase 6, near the Papaveraceae. Their theme is similar to that of the Papaveraceae of being powerless and rejected but it is less extreme. They are known for use in resolving the smoking habit.
