Filipendula ulmaria

Woman, 65 years, depression, sleeplessness.
She has depression for 15 years. She uses antidepressant for 3 years. She cannot sleep and cannot eat because she feels heaviness in her abdomen. She can sleep just two hours a day.
She says: ”I was happy while my children were with me. I never thought they could leave. Now I do not have any aim. My children were my aim. My life was about work and children.”
In time when her complaints started, there were more issues in the family. She started to live separately with her husband. After short time she left her work and her children separated from her as they were grown up.
She says that her husband was never taking care of the family. All the burden of household duties was on her shoulders. He did not even care for children when they were sick. He rather went to play football. She says that she was so angry, that she could not fall asleep. On the other hand, she was very adapting in order to avoid all the conflicts. She did not tell her opinion. And it was the same at her work. She says that she could not tell her opinion, otherwise she would be fired.
In her job she felt much pressure, her memory was worsening and therefore she was not able to accomplish here tasks. Therefore, she left the job.
When her husband did not show any interest in her, she told him, that they will live separately. Afterwards they divorced.
She like plants, especially roses.

Phase 6: Husband did not care for the family, feeling of anger about it.
Subphase 2: Adapting to husband, also at work.
Stage 15: divorce, quit the job, children leaving home
Prescription: Filipendula ulmaria.
Follow up
After one month she feels much better. She started to sleep. She says she is 100 percent better. She decreased the dose of the antidepressant.
After two more month she says that she wakes up just once a night. Her appetite increased so much, that she needs to check her weight.
