They feel that they should help the family members. They can do that with pleasure, trying to make it comfortable for everyone in the family. They try to solve all the problems of the family. At one side this is in order to really help. At the other side they want to help because they fear that otherwise the rest of the world will know the problems when they stay too long or are too overwhelming.
It can also be the case that they feel that they should help, but they don’t have the time, energy or lust for it. They feel it as an obligation, as something that “one should do”. And they fear that the outside will discover when they won’t help the rest of the family and will be blamed for it.
