Case
A woman of 45 years old has complaints of sinusitis. It started after she had had influenza 3 times. Each time she was extremely ill, just lying in her bed for more than a week, only wanting to sleep. She had moderate fever, headache sore and bruised, chills alternating witti sweat, < 5 pm, < being touched.
She has blue legs witti red knees.
Her conception was an accident. Her parents didn't have time for her. She feit left alone, desperately forsaken, weeping as a child without someone coming for help. She has the feeling that she always had to fight for her life. In her dreams she's dying, drowning and has to fight tremendously to come back and merge from the water.
Her mother feared emotions, had attacks of sleepiness during the pregnancy of her. Her father had been in a concentration camp during the war, but he never wanted to talk about it, retired when someone tried to talk about it.
She's timid, fears what others will think about her. She always had to struggle to achieve what she wanted, always something worked against her. She's the center of her own family, tries to hold the family together.
Dream: she quarrels witti her parents, shouts loudly, because they don't respect her wishes. Dream: she walked witti a friend between gas chambers in the concentration camps and heard people screaming.
Analysis
The story of the threat of the Second World War is very strong in this case: her father has been in a concentration camp, she dreams of the gas chambers. This can remind one of Hydrocyanicum acidum, as this remedy is strongly indicated in such cases. The blue legs fit this remedy. But it didn't act very well.
The fevers and sinusitis remind of the Asteraceae. Although the fever is not that high as is characteristic for that family, we see confirming symptoms as chills, altemating witti sweat,completely ill and just lying down, <- being touched, bleeding problems, sore and bruised sensations.
She feels unsafe and unprotected. This is typical for Eupatorium perfoliatum. The lack of a real father, a supporting one is there too.
Reaction
Hydrocyanicum acidum MK provokes sciatica, extending to her left leg, not being able to stand on it.
One month after Eupatorium perfoliatum MK she's much better. Her sinusitis is gone, her energy has gone up and she feels psychologically much better, stronger, and more independent.
