12.9 Dysprosium oxydatum case
Width 6, Depth 4, Cure 8, Duration 5
A man of 44 years of age has backache. It’s a pricking pain on the right side, from thoracic vertebra 7. It extends from under the scapula to the chest, sternum and pit of the stomach. It’s a sore pain, as if in the bones. It can feel as if his chest is compressed. It’s better sitting leaning backwards and on holidays in France. It’s been diagnosed as kyphosis and arthrosis of the back.
In the past he had Meniere’s disease for 5 years. This gave him vertigo with the feeling of having lost his way, worse standing, worse sitting, worse turning his head and better rest. He can have noises in his ear, worse when locking his jaws, worse when his neck is locked. He had the idea that the visual images were lagging behind on moving his head. This complaint started when he was in police service. He works now as a manager in a storehouse. His bosses aren't social people. His directors are very formal and want to control the smallest details. They don't have a clue about what he is doing. He gives his employees freedom in their work so that they’ll do their job on their own. He would like to leave this work-situation; it's no good for him. He hates the American style of managing. He hates being told what to do. He has always been a freedom seeker, desiring independence.
He had a good childhood. His father was domineering, working for the church, without vision, following the rules. They didn't understand each other. His mother was sweet, but hard on herself. He has little contact with his brothers and sisters as he is different from them. In general he feels different from other people. At the age of 16 he left home and went to study to be a nurse. At 18 he went into military service and then joined the military police for 6,5 years. Then he worked with the regular police, where he learned a lot. Later he worked for the rural police, which was a big disappointment. The policemen were working for their own interests, very formal and not looking to what is right or wrong. His boss and the whole group were very corrupt. The good guys were leaving the job. The police commander was beating his own wife. He was the whistle blower. He worked with the idea that the task of the police is to “protect and serve” but he discovered that justice is rotten. He fought against stupidity and corruption and he and the police force lost. He lost his trust in them. He left after 11 years.
He feels sad, heavy, tense, > marijuana.
He’s very strong, can lift anything.
He wants to be free, have a free life. He’s unhappy at the idea that he still has to work for another 20 years.
He is very stubborn, following his own path. He is a liberty seeker. He wants to do what is good for everyone.
Color preference: 17B (light green blue).
Hobbies: fishing, hunting, holidays.
Dreams, recurrent: persecuted, flying away.
Weather: -> sun, <- gray.
Sweat: copious at night.
Desire: fish, meat, cheese, vegetables.
Aversion: bland food.
Analysis
We can see the story as the story of the lonely fighter against corruption. It can be translated as Lanthanide (= lonely) Stage 12 (= fighter) oxydatum (= corruption).
There are many confirmations for the Lanthanides. He has a strong desire for freedom. He hates being told what to do. He’s very stubborn.
The corruption strongly indicates Oxygen. Together this leads to Dysprosium oxydatum.
Confirmations
Lanthanides: different in the family, loner, -> sun, marijuana.
Gold series: -> fish, -> meat.
As he works as a manager, one can also think of Mercurius, Stage 12 in the normal Gold series but he’s not really a manager or boss. He lets others be free too which is more like a Lanthanide. Indications for Mercurius are: -> meat, -> fish, sweat at night.
Follow up
After Dysprosium oxydatum MK he feels well. After a month he feels “perfect”. The neck pains are almost gone. He’s more relaxed at work. He doesn't fight his managers anymore. He lets them alone and will handle his people in his own way. If they are stupid, it's their problem.
3 months later he’s doing fine. The quality of life has gone to 85, coming from 40.
The first prescription Mercurius vivus MK had no effect.
Then Ferrum nitricum was given for his attitude of working hard instead of being able to enjoy life. It helped him partially for his backaches.
