Dorotheanthoideae
Clades: Aizoaceae
Region: winter-rainfall region of South Africa.
Taxonomy
Molecular data from combined plastid and nuclear sequences shows that Dorotheanthus is monophyletic while Cleretum is diphyletic. Klak propses a revised classification of Dorotheantheae, consisting of a single genus Cleretum.
Plant theory 2
Dorotheanthoideae is a combination of the Dorotheantheae and Apatesiae clade. They are placed in Subphase 2.
Dorotheanthoideae genera
Dorotheantheae: Aethephyllum, Cleretum, Dorotheanthus.
Apatesieae: Apatesia, Carpanthea, Caryotophora, Conicosia, Hymenogyne, Saphesia, Skiatophytum.
