655.53.12 Cistus canadensis, Case
Woman, 60, rheumatism.
She has severe stitching pains in her leg, the frontal side, tibia, worse from cold wet weather. It starts with numbness.
She also has itching, pricking in her anus, as from needles, as if it is forming cicatrices.
Her right arm has attacks of lameness, sometimes her leg.
She has a lump feeling in her throat.
She has frequent cystitis, with burning pain in bladder on urination extending to her right kidney. It is without fever and worse in cold wet weather.
At 10 she had pyelonephritis, with high fever, as if in a trance.
She has had tonsillitis.
She is a teacher, proud of her work.
Her first marriage ended because she became more independent and stopped being the small little girl.
Her second relationship was with a man many years younger. She helped him to finish his studies. They married, had a child and then he became depressed, stopped working. She helped him find a job but he soon lost that. She felt abused, giving a lot and getting nothing back. She told him twice that she would end the relationship if he would not change. In the end she quit, felt sad, asking herself why it had to be that way.

Aversion: meat, sugar, milk.
Likes plants very much: they bring her total relaxation.

Follow up
After Cistus canadensis MK the pain in her leg flared up twice and then disappeared. Her old grief and wondering why it had to happen faded into the background. She got more energy, was looking to the future and new goals.
