Habitat: mountain slopes in rocky terrain; most tolerant of cold temperatures; heat-tolerant; drought-tolerant; disease-free; prefers full sunshine, or partial; well-drained soil, only occasional watering.
Ecology: can be affected by aphids, mealybugs, vine weevils.

Herb; small, ± 35 cm tall, up to 50 cm wide; shrubby; succulent.
Flowers: small; pink or white flowers; blooming in summer; smelling like honey or blackcurrant jelly.
