Woman, 80, paralysis.
She has paralysis of her legs after inflammation of her spinal cord. She has vertigo and trembling.
She has had severe herpes zoster of her face, with feeling of tightness, pain and itching.
Her youth was difficult. She grew up in Indonesia and was raised with the idea that girls had to be nice, sweet, decent and neat. She had little time to play, life rolled over her. She felt powerless and did not enjoy things. At puberty she was put into a concentration camp. After the war she and her husband moved to another continent. She felt not at home there too, was homesick, did not know the language and had little contact with people. She was not prepared for having children, had an aversion to being pregnant, felt something growing in her body that was not hers and had no contact with the foetus. Her husband was very reserved, they had only superficial contact.
She is a distinguished old lady, speaking slowly and a bit distantly. She is in general a bit distant, has an aversion to unexpected visitors. She fears people, especially strangers. She is lazy. She was not a very warm mother but loves her children very much. She always keeps up her appearance.
She worked as a teacher and loved to be able to give young people a feeling of self-worth.
