644.24.07 Calophyllum inophyllum, Case
Case by Martin Jakob.
Woman, 40, depression, suicidal.
She has hypertension 170 over 105 with headache and nausea, for three years, worse 3 am.
Her problems in life, her depression and suicidal thoughts started when she changed school and she got poor results. Therefore she felt worthless and thought that nobody liked her. She is an outsider in her study group and nobody would miss her if she is not here anymore. It is worse as one colleague is dominating her as she is the oldest in her recent study for becoming a teacher.
Her self-worth is really low. She is timid, never speaks up and is easily suppressed by others. She walks three steps behind her husband, who manages everything. In the beginning of her marriage she adapted completely to the lifestyle of her parents-in-law. She never knew what she wanted, she lived to make everything right for her parents.
She never knew her abilities. As a child she thought she was more intelligent than her parents. Her son thinks she is not as intelligent as he and his father. She went the way of the least resistance. Her parents never took her by the hand, supported her, to make her learn or understand what to do.
It was always a problem to belong to a group, in boarding school and now in her study. She always wanted to be in a role of leadership. Her family never belonged to the society of the village, because the grandfather was much into politics.
The rule of her father was to never stand out. Her mother has never had time for her, was always busy to serve in the restaurant of her father. Her mother is very adapting to men, and gets abused with her finances. Her grandmother and her great-grandmother were victims of rape.
She talks in a very emotional way, with a lot of weeping. She is very open, talkative and expressive.
She started the study to become a teacher in elementary school, it is her dream since childhood, in order to gain self-worth.
