Case 5.15: a boy with seizures
A. Leupen
Age 2,5 year.

Complaints
Seven times a seizure during fever. First seizure at 11 months.
Seizure:
- fever 38,7 grades Celsius.
- becomes stiff, falling
- Mother: “he looks at me but doesn’t recognizes me”.
- trembling, foam from mouth.
- jerking of the arms.
- afterwards weeping and dull.

Mind
Very attached to mother. Sensitive to angry or loud voices.
Careful.
A year ago breath holding spells, he became blue.
Fears: mopeds.
Not afraid of dogs or the dark.

Development
Pregnancy: normal.
Birth: 35 weeks. Very rapid course. APGAR 8/10. Four days in incubator.
First teeth at 10 months.
Walking with 13 months.

Social
Lives with parents and sister. Sister 5 years old, no illness.

General
Desires: potatoes, soup, bread, macaroni, spinach, Chinese food.
Thirst: increased.
Stool: normal. No worm complaints.
Sleep: sometimes waking from dreams, weeping. Sleep position: side.
